Gillian experimented with taking pictures using her phone as well as her camera. For this one she had used her phone and found it came out sharp.
Morag liked this flower as the centre of the Poinsettia stood out clearly.

Ingrid chose her Allium.
As well as our pictures on the month's topic, we include one seasonal picture. Bob chose this from Ingrid's offerings saying it was a classic good composition, focused on the flower head.

Both Joe and Sonia chose this from Joe's collection. Sonia thought it a clean picture with the fine hairs showing sharply.
A close contender was this tiny ornament.

Martin chose Les's Aconite for the colour contrast and the beautifully sharp stamens.
Les himself chose his silver chain which he had taken using a hand-held light box. He felt there was good contrast between the silver and the black background.

Ingrid chose Marthe's small tree decoration for its bright yellow colour.
Both Marthe herself and Ingrid liked the diagonal threads. Marthe had taken the shot using the macro setting on her bridge camera, with setting f3.4 to ensure narrow depth of field.
