It was a dull wet day, and Morag was in Queen Street, waiting to cross at the foot of Hanover Street. She looked at the drab empty building in front of her, and noticed the flowers in the window.

Neil liked the light on Morag's cat Mollie.

Neil liked the way the sun comes through the gap between the broken stones on Cramond causeway.

Sandra chose the broken down breakwater on Portobello Beach

The bombed-out church was damaged by bombs during the Liverpool blitz and is now a listed building. Ruth likes the brick detail and the turrets and the wet path gives some indication of the weather that day.

Sue felt this picture from Ruth had an air of 1920s abandonment. The jetty at Newhaven has been like This for decades and has survived numerous storms. She turned it to black and white to give more atmosphere.

Sandra was pleased with her decayed and abandoned carpet shop.

Sonia liked the way the boat fills the frame in this picture, with the floating leaves and the ball anchor - red and in just the right spot.

Sonia liked her tumbled down building in Zermatt with its rich warm colours and the lines of the building.

Both Mary on Wednesday and the group on Thursday liked the decayed flowers and foliage here. The Autumn crocus didn't live long in the stormy weather.
