RH
Ingrid chose Ruth's picture of frogs doing what frogs do in the Spring
Ruth and also Vincent chose Ruth's family of swans, framed with grasses in the foreground. Vincent said a family of swans setting out together at this time of year strongly evokes ideas of spring. They almost describe the shape of an S, which he found interesting.
SG
Sandra was pleased with her single flower fully out among the other buds and liked the angle at which she had taken it.
Morag liked the light on the flowers in the foreground in this picture of a pink magnolia.
SD
Brian liked Sonia's helebore bursting out from the centre of the frame.
Sonia chose her tulips opening out fully in the sun.
SW
Sue liked her twisted hazel catkins.
Gillian chose Sue's rhododendron, central in the picture and really standing out.
VM
Ruth liked Vincent's picture of people coming out to appreciate Spring.
Vincent chose his giraffes, liking the ambiguity of the picture, the colours, and the contrast between the noble giraffes and the much less elegant, scurrying and slightly clumsy humans.
MD
Mary's buds were taken in Queen's Park. Marthe liked the diagonal branch and the fact that the picture was so sharp. She thought it a well-balance composition with the splash of white light in the corner adding to it.
