Ingrid's sunlit roses were liked. She chose the orange one...
... while Marthe chose the yellow one, because she liked the fact that the rose was sharp against the blurred background.
LD
From his own pictures Les chose this shot of light shining through leaves.
Sonia thought this was a winner because of the composition with the paeony filling most of the frame, the light streaming in and falling on the upper leaves.
MM
Marthe was pleased with this from her own collection. It reminded her of a botanical picture because it was very sharp.
Mary thought this was a stunning picture with its black background and the light on the fuchsia petals.
MB
Martin liked his storks taken at Edinburgh Zoo for the light on the feathers.
Brian liked the lizard, also at the zoo. He was taken with the dappled effect.
MD
Mary really enjoyed the topic. This is of course the Edinburgh trams. Anne also liked this one for its business, the colours and the impression of speed.
However, Anne chose as her favourite the cyclist - a solitary person with impact, the light falling on parts of his body and the pool of light in front.
