The two groups went on an outing to Musselburgh for their August meeting - such a change to meet face to face (socially distanced, of course!) Here we have our selection of pictures taken on the day.

Both Alister and Sandra chose Alister's picture of a contemplative sailor from his outing pictures. They felt it told a story. What was he thinking about?
The choice from Fiona's pictures was this picture of the beach, with all the mussel and other shells, and all sorts of other things.

Irene was taken by Athol's two dogs - she liked the composition with the focus off-set from centre. Her eye was led by both dogs looking into that space, a simple effective photo.
Athol found this a pleasing composition, a triangular foreground. The people were unaware of the photographer.
GL
Sue chose this from Gillian's pictures because it showed Fisherrow as a fishing harbour and was a different sort of picture.
Gillian chose her own picture of the harbour with a flowery foreground
IL
Irene found this one from her set moving. If the flowers were a memorial and they too had died, it represented loss.
Alister thought this one from Irene was a good composition.
JC
Morag much admired this image from Joe - quite different. She liked the colours of the ropes.
Joe liked his "Room with a view" - a modern building in Musselburgh.
