In August we had planned an outing to Saughton Park where we could meet, suitably socially distanced. Unfortunately Wednesday was wet but Thursday was fine so several of us from both groups went then. Our alternative topic was Trees.

Alister and his reviewers Sue and Irene all agreed that this was an excellent picture. They admired the texture, the subtle colours, the shades of green.
Anne and her reviewer Marthe were in agreement over this picture. Marthe said the picture filled the frame and had a variety of colours. The image was sharp and the detail of the water could be seen.

Sandra chose this picture by Athol. She liked the texture and colours of the tree bark contrasting with the green leaves. Both bark and leaves catch the sunlight and the branches and trunk of the tree frame the leaves.
Athol himself chose this amazing shot of a bee in flight.

Ann chose this picture from Bob because of the shine and the raindrops.
Bob himself chose this picture taken in Covenanters Wood locally. He liked the diagonal line of trees, and the figures in the background added a sense of scale.
