In November the topic was Sculptures around Town, but some confusion had been created as originally we had Statues around Town. However, the resultant pictures were still excellent, with some outstanding examples.
Moira: Autumn colours and the castle in the background.
An unusual angle. The horse's muscle is clearly defined. The picture fills the frame.
Ingrid: Dandelion sculture at Wisley
We thought this bird sculpture on Hastings beach was very elegant.
Ingrid: One of the things we learned from this exercise was that often a detail works better than the full statue.
Morag: A detail from the statue of James Clerk Maxwell - his dog.
Morag: We liked the way the light fell on this pleasing statue.
Polly the Horse - this was Morag's own favourite.
Peter: another example of a detail from a larger statue working well
We felt this picture gave a sense of drama.
