Bee's wing, taken using manual focus and aperture, with tripod and remote control.

Lichen.
On wall top beside an old Monastery (‘Moni’) path on the island
of Andros, Greece. For this extreme close-up Macro-mode was selected and focus
achieved by gently moving the camera back-and-forth whilst continuously half-depressing
the shutter release until the range sensor ‘locked onto’ the lichen.
