Anne chose her picture of the beach at St Andrews with its diagonal lines. Les admired this picture too with the simplicity of the colour scheme and the design. He thought the picture had a quietness about it.

Athol was pleased with the sweep of the hills in this picture, and the contrast with the russet coloured vegetation.
Sue however chose this picture because of the way the light picks out the shapes and undulations of the hills.

Anne liked Brian's picture taken at Haystoun, Peebles. She thought it a traditional landscape, nicely balanced, with detail in the reflections.
Brian chose his picture of Manor Bridge, Nr Peebles.

Fiona was pleased with her picture taken at Kintail. The light is so lovely and the reflection so clear.
Neil chose Fiona's picture of Eilean Donan Castle which he described as a classic shot taken from the traditional position. A beautiful picture with a purple sheen over it.

Frances chose her "Sea and Sky", which she had changed to black and white, very effectively.
Martin loved that picture too but also liked another very effective B&W shot with the wall and the white cottage. He thought it a classic landscape with foreground interest.
