The group went for this shot from Morag - we liked the composition. Joe thought it could be for a commercial.
Morag's own choice was taken in Musselburgh. She finds it very simple, calm and peaceful.
ND
Marjorie chose Neil's Gunpowder Works. She thought it was beautiful - almost like a Constable painting, washed out and peaceful.
Neil liked his own "Punk Duck" - he thought it was quirky.
RH
Gillian chose Ruth's picture of a dog. Ruth tells us it was taken during a geology trip to Cramond Island: the humans were talking about volcanic action millions of years ago whilst the dog was staying firmly in the present and barking for someone to throw a stick for him - the bigger the better.
Ruth's own favourite picture is this one of the group walking very fast off Cramond Island. She grabbed her camera from her rucksack and took the picture without looking through the viewfinder. She likes the action of people walking with the jetty and the old ferryman's house in the background.

Sandra's pictures are from a trip to Staffa and Fingal's Cave. Neil chose this one, saying that the water channel leads your eye in to the Basalt Rocks.
Sandra preferred her picure of boats and Staffa rocks.
SD
Sonia liked her picture of seaweed and sparkling, rippling sea taken at Berwick on Tweed
Joe also liked that one but preferred this shot taken in Colinton, Water of Leith.
