Thursday's Group had an outing to Spylaw Park, Colinton in May so we looked at their Water's Edge pictures in June. There were so many superb pictures it was difficult to choose which to show.

AC
Irene admired the ripple reflections in this picture from Alister, taken at Blackford Pond.
Alister's own choice was also taken at Blackford Pond. He liked the light and shade.
AP
Athol had two favourites from his pictures and the whole group agreed with his choices. This one was taken at North Berwick and he thought it a beautiful composition.
His other choice was taken in a garden in Forfar, where there was a squirrel feeding box regularly visited by 2 red squirrels.
GL
Gillian chose her picture taken on the Water of Leith because of the reflections and the snow
Sonia chose Gillian's snowy picture, again the Water of Leith, because she thought it almost an abstract picture, which made you puzzle over what you were seeing.
IL
Irene chose her picture "Frozen" - she liked the shapes of white and shades of grey.
Ruth liked "I walk alone", which she felt told a story of a solitary walk at high tide.
MC
Marjorie herself chose this moorhen. She liked the out of focus water at the right of the picture
Sue however loved Marjorie's swan, serene and calm with an almost perfect reflection.
