Another method available to some was a Panorama setting on a camera or Phone camera. Having chosen this setting, the photographer needs to move the camera (or phone) smoothly across the scene from left to right (or right to left), in a similar way to taking a video. The result is a wide picture. A drawback to this method is that the result can be distorted, especially if the photographer is too close to the scene. Also, it is sometimes necessary to crop the picture to reduce its height and remove less interesting areas of the picture. A number of our photographers had this facility on their cameras or phones. One or two examples are shown here.
