September's topic was Motion. We found this quite challenging and you will see a few different ideas on how to capture that movement. Here we have the Wednesday Group pictures. Thursday's follow on page 3.

Carina had a series of pictures of speeding trains.

These were taken at a slow speed, first panning with the train so that the train is in focus, the background blurred.

Carina. This time, still using a slow shutter speed, she captured the motion blur while the background remained in focus.

Frances took her pictures using shutter priority and at a very slow speed, really capturing the motion of a passing bus

And again the slow speed shows one leg moving as the other remains on the ground

... and captured the splash. This time the picture was taken using shutter priority but at a very fast speed.
