This month the remit was to produce iconic views of cities (which could of course include Edinburgh). What I expected was the kind of view the tourist might see. What I got was often quite different and again I am impressed by the originality the photographers show. Here is our chosen selection, in random order of photographer. Can you place all the locations?

Morag: This view was taken from the Botanics, giving a panoramic view including Calton Hill and Salisbury Craggs
The traditional view of Florence, set off by leafy foreground.
Gillian: Calton Hill again. We liked the composition.
Moving to Glasgow - the Terracotta Fountain, perhaps enhanced by the sheen the rain gave it.
Patricia: Back to Florence - a classic night-time shot
Bob took many images away from the norm, which engendered lots of discussion. This one caught our eye though - an almost silhouette, dusk shot.
We liked this clash between the scar of the trams and equipment and the classic view of monuments
Frances: The big wheel at night - an iconic Hogmanay view!
We thought this winter view of the Pentlands a good composition.
Marthe: We were much taken by this image of a bar window, with its lights, reflections and floral foreground.
