We had a social meal out in January, so the topic of Food seemed logical, however the range of compositions was much wider than this, as seen on these two pages. The photographers chose their own favourite shots.

Noreen: "A wee dram" - to capture the water pouring into the jug, Noreen used a 10 second timer. The scene was lit by a torch on the table. The background was a brown towel. This scene took a lot of effort and many attempts, but the result is stunning.
Frances: Foccacia. She liked this because of the texture and the colours and the effect of the pools of oil.
Carina liked the colours in this shot
Ingrid: Little boy with babyccino
Patricia: Christmas treats
AnnP: Fruit and nuts - interesting colours and texture
Penny liked the effect of the condensation trapped in this dessert
Marthe liked the diagonal composition
Barbara's Garlic was taken on a macro setting, using a tripod. The scene was lit by daylight and a desklight.
Liam: "Oink - Hog Roast". Surprisingly, this was taken using a phone through a window!
Dale: A market stall
We agreed with Leighton in his choice of this shot of a red kite in flight, with food in its beak. The picture was taken at Castle Douglas
Marjorie: Preserves in Stockbridge Market
Gillian: Wedding cake in a shop window.
